Before Phil Harrison and John Jacobs worked together, Phil was a guitarist and vocalist in the power rock group "Voice" while John handled a similar role in the mighty "Magnum Opus" prog rock band. It was a mutual friend, having played drums with each of the guys and noticed they had both modified their Fender guitars by adding Gibson pickups, who believed they would complement each other musically and personally. How right he was as, within weeks of meeting up, they had formed a four piece rock band performing on the pub circuit. They went on to be founder members of soul funk legends "Ricochet" before spending fifteen years as club favourites "Deja Vu". The Astral Cruising project fulfilled a long held ambition to compose, perform, produce and release original music. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did creating it.
